Even If We Are Broken We Are Still Useful

Even If We Are Broken We Are Still Useful It always amazes me how and when and where Abba Father talks to us and what He uses to show us and guide us with. Yes again He showed up while I was in the shower, while trying to wash my hair. You see, I was having trouble trying to pour out my shampoo out of the nozzle supplied on the top of the shampoo container, which is supposed to make it easier to pour out. It was just pouring out everywhere and wasting so much of the shampoo in the process. I then had to take the nozzle of and just pour it out the old fashion way without the nozzle. The next time I got into the shower I took the nozzle of again and found that there was actually a split in the opening of the top of the container. Hence why the container wasn’t working as it should, the way that it was meant to, the way that it was designed to, it wasn’t as effective. But it still could be used.   Then Abba Father said to me even though you’re broken and not able to w

I Really Love These Magnet Tins They’re So Handy

I Really Love These Magnet Tins I have over time collected a few of these little magnetic tins for my craft trolley for quick access to some my craft items. But until yesterday I didn’t realize that they are also a very handy pin tin.   I was busy pinning up a project that I am busy doing at the moment and I was struggling to get these little pins out of there little tiny container they came in. I didn’t want to take all my pins of my old but very strong pin dish (As shown down on the second lost photo of this blog). So I would put them into one of my empty magnetic pin tins. Well I was struggling even more to get them out of the depths of the tin. Then I tipped them into the lid and this made it easier. But ROFL! I saw the magnet on the bottom of the tin and thought “Oh my goodness I have had these all this time and I didn’t realize that if I tipped the metal objects into the lid and then turn the tin upside down and place the lid on top of the

One Minute Pause

One Minute Pause Today I just wanted to share with you this really helpful app that was recommended to me. It is an app to just take some time out of your day to just pause for 60 seconds and breathe. I have found it really is helping me to just feel less burdened and more relaxed in amongst the business of my life. The app is free. It is by John Eldredge a Christian author. I have not yet purchased his bible study or DVD or anything like that and I might but I just have too much to do right know and so will have to wait for that. But I can totally recommend this app to anyone especially if you just feel like you’re part of this world has totally gone mad or just out of control. Check it out. I found it very doable because he offers on the app a 1 minute pause and then if you feel like you would like to do a little more then there is a 3 minute pause and for those that feel that could or need more there is a 10 minute pause. I

Who Remembers The Mr Whippy Van

Who Remembers The Mr. Whippy Van Who remembers the Mr. Whippy van driving around the neighborhood of Melbourne, Victoria? I do, it was one of my precious memories of growing up. He would play his music on his loud speaker so that everyone no matter where you were could hear that Mr. Whippy was coming. We would all run out of the house so watch him coming especially on those really hot afternoons. While you would wait you could see all the other children and parents running out to their nature strips to purchase one of his yummy soft serve ice creams. Sometimes my parents would buy us all one and sometimes they wouldn’t. Now as a grownup I realize that they couldn’t always afford to buy us all one. But that still didn’t stop us from running out to watch Mr. Whippy do his thing. Mr. Whippy looked the splitting image of Elvis Presley. We used to think he had left his job and come to serve us ice cream and sing to us in Tottenham. Because we didn’t r

We Were Created to be loved & to Love

We Were Created to be loved & to Love John 13:34-35 The Message 34-35  “Let me give you a new command: Love one another. In the same way I loved you, you love one another. This is how everyone will recognize that you are my disciples—when they see the love you have for each other.” If we are filled with negative thoughts, hate, bitterness, rage, and judgment about what others are doing, or how others are choosing to live their lives, then we will not reach our fullness of all that we were created/made to be. For when we judge other we are actually putting ourselves on the judgment seat, the throne of God and by judging other we are     But when we are full of Jesus’ love, we can be all that we were created/made to be and more. We were created to be loved and to love.   Jesus was the perfect example of love and He came to show us His perfect love and teach us His way of love. He taught His disciples and those around Him, all His ways. Paul writes of this perfect love that he l

3D Printed 40 Years Loved & Blessed Cake Topper

3D Printed 40 Years Loved & Blessed Cake Topper We couldn’t find the type of cake topper we wanted for our 40 th wedding anniversary, we looked everywhere on the internet, that could get it to us in time for our party. We could find one’s for a 50 th and 60 th wedding anniversary, but not for a 40 th .  So we decided that we would had no choice but to make it ourselves. And of course we had to use our 3D printer. Only we (Or at least my Hubby) had never used a program called “Tinker Cad” before. Tinker Cad for those that don’t know is a program that you can design your own prints. When I asked how to design our own 3D model on Face Book on a 3D help site, I was told I needed to use a program called Tinker Cad and then I might also have to use a blender. Lol I replied with; “I know you are not talking about putting my 3D model into my kitchen blender.” There are so many symbols and jargon out there it can get confusing and frustrating, it’s like a whole other language to

Life Is A Precious Gift & to be Celebrated

Life Is A Precious Gift & to be Celebrated This Easter season has been two things that the Holy Spirit has given me to reflect on. One is that the boulder or the rock has been rolled away from the tomb and is an empty grave and empty prison that Jesus set us free from and like Lazarus Jesus has called us out of our tomb our prison. All we have to do is hear His voice calling our name and take the free gift of life that He has given us as a gift a present. The bolder that has been rolled away for us is a present that has been unwrapped, undone for us. The second thing that I hold dear to my heart is something that Pastor Joseph Prince from New Creation Church in Singapore taught a few years ago one Easter Sunday from:   John 20:6-7 6  Then Simon Peter came, following him, and went into the tomb; and he saw the linen cloths lying there ,   7  and the handkerchief that had been around His head, not lying with the linen cloths, but folded together in a place by itse

Our Easter Wreath

Our Easter Wreath I do love to decorate for whatever the occasion and of course Easter is no different it needs some decoration. This Easter wreath was created by Sue from “Let's Celebrate -  Decorations all year around,” as shown in the logo photo below. She makes wreaths and garlands among other decorations for people all over the world .  She really is one talented lady. Happy Easter everyone.  I do hope you all have a wonderful Easter and enjoy your long weekend in whatever you are doing.
