Natural Resources I Have Gathered And Used For The Train Layout

Natural Resources I Have Used For The Train Layout To make the rock walls and pillars to hang the gates on I have used these stones.   I have collected bark, different coloured soils, twigs, and gum leaves. I have sieved the dirt to get all the little tiny stones out and to not have anything in the soil that doesn't look like soil.  Here I have ground down the green gum leaves. I also ground down the red ones separate and also made a mixture of green, red, and dried brown gum leaves, which I have used the most.   I found some banksias in a car park in Geelong thanks to some corellas that had a good feed on them and then dropped them on the ground. I thought they would be very useful for the train layout and they have been. I have used them as weeds, and will also make some agapanthus plants out of them and I will also use them scattered through the wheat field. When you pull the banksias apart there are 2 parts that I have found us...

How I Built A Mountain with Toilet Paper And PVC Glue

How I Built A Mountain with  Toilet Paper                             And PVC Glue  There are many techniques to use to cover your mountains and hills, like using plaster of paradise or paper Mache using paper and home made glue. I did give much consideration into using one of these two techniques, but the technique I finally decided to use, was toilet paper and PVC glue. And I am really glad I have. Because now it is finished, it is as hard as a rock but light like fibre glass. It was kind of funny at the time choosing this technique been as in this time when I had decided to start doing this, toilet paper was very hard to get and you had to que up to buy just one packet. And no I wasn't one of those people that had an abundance of it left over and needed to figure out how to use it...

The Fun Has Started Our First Water Tank

The Fun Has Started Our First Water Tank   After  my Hubby and our Daughter playing around most of Saturday afternoon setting up the printer and the computer and getting the right programs, we were ready by 6 o'clock on Saturday night to start a test run by printing out our much needed water tanks. Because everything was on hold in the farm lands waiting for the arrival of their water tanks. After all the crops and veggies and animals needed their water not to mention the loo and showers, lol, To our surprise they only took 39 minutes each. We ended up printing out 4 of them, but I'm thinking of making another one or two. One for our famous Aussie wood shed. Because you always need somewhere to keep your firewood dry and the other one for a chicken coop. I will just have to see how I'm going for space with the chicken coop. They may just left to forage around the yard, sorry, lol. I do have one tip for you. After our first print the models all started sticking to the plate....
