Our Easter Wreath I do love to decorate for whatever the occasion and of course Easter is no different it needs some decoration. This Easter wreath was created by Sue from “Let's Celebrate -  Decorations all year around,” as shown in the logo photo below. She makes wreaths and garlands among other decorations for people all over the world .  She really is one talented lady.                       Our 40 th Wedding Anniversary Celebrations We just wanted to share this very special occasion with all our friends and family but unfortunately we still have some restrictions in how many can gather in ones household. We were limited because of our small patio on how many we could invite and so we had to narrow it down. As you can see by the photos we did end up having a wonderful afternoon, with so many laughs and catch ups with friends we haven’t been able to see in a while. We truly had a blessed day.                                                     Volendam Netherlands During our last trip around Europe we visited our Cousin and her lovely family in Amsterdam. Amsterdam is such a beautiful very colorful place. While we were there Our Cousin took us to see this very quaint little fishing village called Volendam. It was just beautiful we fell in love with it and just didn’t want to leave, but we had to because our tour guide (our Cousin had more she wanted to show us). Volendam is a Dutch town on the Markermeer Lake, northeast of Amsterdam. It’s known for its colorful wooden houses and the old fishing boats in its harbor, which is lined with seafood vendors.                 Great Mates Tiling Our Kitchen Together  At 80 years young and my Dad still has got it. He thought he had forgotten how to tile, but to his surprise he could still do it. It may have taken him 3 days but he still did it. He never ceases to amaze me. Dad’s job was to glue all the tiles up and to grout. My Hubbies job was to cut the tiles. And boy did he do some amazing cutting, such lovely fancy cutting to go around our shelves. Amazing what you can do when you have the right tools for the job.  Of course my Dad just has to joke around.  Here is a handy hint from Hubby: place a plank of wood to keep our tile going straight and level with the bench especially when you can’t start at the top or the bottom of the wall. And it also helps to keep your tiles in place while they are drying. Handy tip from my Dad: Instead of a plank of wood you can hammer in some nails just under to tiles to keep them in pl...
