How To Make This Christmas Tree Out Of Beads

How To Make This Christmas Tree                                   Out Of Beads To make this beaded Christmas tree you will need the following: -          A foam shaped cone/Christmas tree, -          Small mild steal pins, you will not be able to use normal sewing pins as they are too long for the job. -          Beads, I used imitation pearl beads and seed bead, you just have to make sure that the pins can fit inside the bead holes. -          PVA tacky glue, -          For the tree topper I found a lovely pin with a pink heart on the top. -          I also added some small satin bow and some tulle rosettes. These beaded Christmas Trees are very easy to make, just a little time consuming is all.  You simply just place the beads on the pins and put a little PVA tacky glue on the end of the pin and then place the pin with the beads or bead in the foam. Then leave the beaded tree to sit for 24 hours for the glue to dry. I was impatient and placed it to dry where it was

"Do Not Be Afraid"

" Do Not Be Afraid"                   I love the nativity stories, the story of Jesus’ birth and announcement of His coming. One of the reasons I love the stories of Jesus’ birth, in Matthew is that an angel, a messenger from Abba Father, appeared to Joseph, after he had found out that Mary, his wife was pregnant and was considering divorcing her, because he knew that he had not slept with her. Then an angel of the Lord appeared to Joseph and the first thing the angel says to him is “Joseph son of David, do not be afraid” …… Because Abba Father knew what Joseph was considering and wanted Joseph to not be afraid. Matthew 1:20 20  But after he had considered this, an angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream and said, “Joseph son of David, do not be afraid to take Mary home as your wife, because what is conceived in her is from the Holy Spirit. In Luke Abba Father sends another angel, (We do not know if this is the same angel that He sent to Joseph), to Zechariah to le

Making The Flocking For The Train Layout

Making The Flocking For The Train                                            Layout To make your own foam foliage you will need the following items: ·      An electric blender ·      Foam ·      A large mixing bowel ·      A mixing spoon ·      A 250ml measuring cup ·      1 Tablespoon to measure with ·      Acrylic paint (whatever colours you need your foliage to be). ·      PVA glue ·      Water ·      Paper towel ·      Plastic sheets (or plastic tarp, I used plastic garbage bags) ·      Plastic disposable storage containers ·      Rubber kitchen gloves ·      Mask (because a lot of dust comes from the breaking down of the foam) Firstly break up your foam pieces if they are large pieces. You need them to be no larger than 1 to 1 ½ centimeters, just so that when the foam is in the blender it breaks up easier and smaller.    Put your mask on and place one cup of foam into your blender and turn on and leave it until it has been broken down int

The Dome Restaurant In Edinburgh At Christmas Time

The Dome Restaurant In Edinburgh At                                  Christmas Time During our trip to the UK and Europe back in 2017 we stumbled across this amazingly decorated place in Edinburgh while we were walking back to our hotel. The lights caught our eye and so yes of course we had to go see what they were. And oh it was just WOW. This business certainly knew how to draw business in. They have all the outside so perfectly decorated and lit up. Then was you looked through the glass panels in the door you could see into the foyer and it was even more magically decorated. So you just have to pop your head in for a better look. With which they have a door man waiting just inside saying; “Come in and have a look and take as many photos as you would like.” He even took some photos of us together in the foyer. Then while we were taking photos of the entrance to the restaurant what catches my eye, yes more decorations that are even more breathe taking. With that the door man sa

Heaven is for Real, My movie review

Heaven is for Real                                      My movie review I saw this movie back when it was first released in the cinemas in 2014. I first read the book a couple of year before that and said that, “If this book was ever made into a movie I want to definitely see it.” The book has been loaned out to so many of my family and friends and now so has the video of it. Some of the family and friends that read the book just had to reread it before they would hand it back to me to hand on to the next person waiting in line to read it. The book is a true story and the movie is based on the true story. I found that there were only a couple of details left out in the movie but the rest of the movie was very much as the book was written. After reading the book and watching the movie there is no doubt in my mind if there ever was any doubt that heaven does exist.  For how can a 4 year old know all these details? Just as the father is says in the movie. Y

So Many Different Types Of Foliage

So Many Different Types Of  Foliage Trees and Shrubs           Over the years we collected some trees and some flocking and when it came time to place the foliage on the mountain I realized that I didn’t have enough. I didn’t have enough to cover even a third of the top of the mountain, nor did I have enough variety for what I wanted to do. And when I looked online at the prices of everything and knowing how much I might need I decided I would have to make all the foliage. And it really wasn’t to expensive at all. It did take a little time to make though. I would find that I would make approximately 20 trees and shrubs and that would take about 3 to 4 days to make and then I would place them and then it would be making another lot the next week. For a while there it was all I seemed to be doing. But it did pay off and we think it made it look so much better and more original. Here are some of the types of foliage I had to make. I will be explaining how I made them and also the ones
