The Dome Restaurant In Edinburgh At Christmas Time

The Dome Restaurant In Edinburgh At                           Christmas Time

During our trip to the UK and Europe back in 2017 we stumbled across this amazingly decorated place in Edinburgh while we were walking back to our hotel. The lights caught our eye and so yes of course we had to go see what they were. And oh it was just WOW. This business certainly knew how to draw business in. They have all the outside so perfectly decorated and lit up. Then was you looked through the glass panels in the door you could see into the foyer and it was even more magically decorated. So you just have to pop your head in for a better look. With which they have a door man waiting just inside saying; “Come in and have a look and take as many photos as you would like.” He even took some photos of us together in the foyer. Then while we were taking photos of the entrance to the restaurant what catches my eye, yes more decorations that are even more breathe taking. With that the door man says to us; “Go in you are allow.” So in we go only to be welcomed by waitress asking if we would like to have a seat and handing us a Christmas drink list and a light meal menu.

While we sat there drinking our drink, taking more photos and admiring it all, we noticed that the place was getting packed and a que was forming for a table. In that time we had been there for ½ hour. We brought drinks that cost us 20 pounds. And then the waitress came and asked if we would like anymore or if we would like to be seated in the restaurant. A very good business strategy. We were drawn in and even if we didn’t stay for the dinner they had got more money from so many people coming in having a drink all within 20-30 minute turn over.

When we got back to the hotel we were telling the concierge what we had just seen and did. She said to us “Oh that’s The Dome Restaurant. All of Edinburgh knows that when they put their decorations and lights up in November, we know it’s Christmas time.

The address is The Dome Restaurant

14 George Street

Edinburgh

I can certainly recommend this place to everyone, it really is a must see and do. Oh and by the way the drink I had was a Snowflake. It was very very yummy; I can also recommend this drink to you all as well. My Hubby had a Carling beer in a very very tall glass.

How I Built A Mountain with Toilet Paper And PVC Glue

How I Built A Mountain with  Toilet Paper                             And PVC Glue  There are many techniques to use to cover your mountains and hills, like using plaster of paradise or paper Mache using paper and home made glue. I did give much consideration into using one of these two techniques, but the technique I finally decided to use, was toilet paper and PVC glue. And I am really glad I have. Because now it is finished, it is as hard as a rock but light like fibre glass. It was kind of funny at the time choosing this technique been as in this time when I had decided to start doing this, toilet paper was very hard to get and you had to que up to buy just one packet. And no I wasn't one of those people that had an abundance of it left over and needed to figure out how to use it...
