Our Trip To Paddington Station London

                Paddington Station London

We love Paddington Bear or PB as he is also known. So much so it could be said that we might have planned our trip to England to just be there for the release of Paddington 2 in the Cinema’s. But we didn’t, it was just a lovely blessing and surprise to be there when it was released. And of course when we stayed in London we had to stay in Paddington. Which is just as the movies depicts it, it’s very quaint, and not far from Oxford Street and Bond Street, the shopping district.

So as soon as we got off the plane and out of customs the first thing we had to do was catch a train from Heathrow Airport to Paddington Station. When we got to Paddington Station we found a heap of displays to have photos opportunities with Paddington. It was magical. There was also a Paddington shop with all his memorabilia, at the station. The station was just as it was shown in the movies. We did return to this station a few times sometimes just to spend time surrounded by Paddington and other times to catch some trains to other destinations around London.

We of course had to see to the new release of Paddington 2 the movie while we were there. They released this collector’s edition pop-up book. It was so lovely to be part of all this while we were there.

Now our 4 year old Grandson shares in the love for Paddington as well. Not because we encouraged it, but because his Daddy introduced him to the movies, without even knowing our love for Paddington. So in learning this we showed him our pop-up book and he just loves it. He just looks through it over and over again, and even pretends with imaginary characters interacting with Paddington. The first time he saw it, his Auntie Holly came in and he proceeded to tell her all the details that I had pointed out to him in the book and even the details that Poppy and Grandma have been on that ship and that taxi and that bridge and that bus and had to put their umbrellas up so that they didn’t get wet. Our little ones are just like beautiful little sponges take in everything around them.

We are so blessed.

How I Built A Mountain with Toilet Paper And PVC Glue

How I Built A Mountain with  Toilet Paper                             And PVC Glue  There are many techniques to use to cover your mountains and hills, like using plaster of paradise or paper Mache using paper and home made glue. I did give much consideration into using one of these two techniques, but the technique I finally decided to use, was toilet paper and PVC glue. And I am really glad I have. Because now it is finished, it is as hard as a rock but light like fibre glass. It was kind of funny at the time choosing this technique been as in this time when I had decided to start doing this, toilet paper was very hard to get and you had to que up to buy just one packet. And no I wasn't one of those people that had an abundance of it left over and needed to figure out how to use it...

Who Remembers The Mr Whippy Van

Who Remembers The Mr. Whippy Van Who remembers the Mr. Whippy van driving around the neighborhood of Melbourne, Victoria? I do, it was one of my precious memories of growing up. He would play his music on his loud speaker so that everyone no matter where you were could hear that Mr. Whippy was coming. We would all run out of the house so watch him coming especially on those really hot afternoons. While you would wait you could see all the other children and parents running out to their nature strips to purchase one of his yummy soft serve ice creams. Sometimes my parents would buy us all one and sometimes they wouldn’t. Now as a grownup I realize that they couldn’t always afford to buy us all one. But that still didn’t stop us from running out to watch Mr. Whippy do his thing. Mr. Whippy looked the splitting image of Elvis P...
