Making Hair Spray Liquid glue

                             Making Hair Spray Liquid glue

To make your hair spray liquid glue you will need the following items:

-Some very cheap hair spray with the strongest rating of hold and make sure it doesn’t have any softener in it. (Here in Australia when I first got some cheap hair spray I managed to get it cheaper from the reject shop but they haven’t had any since the Covid isolation. I have picked up my cans of hair spray from the supermarkets when they come up on sale).

-A can of WD-40 spray. You will need the small plastic straw that comes with the spray can. You will not be using the WD-40 at all, only the straw.

-A can of compressed air. You will need the nozzle of the top of this can. You will not be using the can of compressed air spray at all only the nozzle.

-A disposable plastic contain.

-Glad Wrap.

First you will to take the nozzle of your can of compressed air and take the small plastic straw and place it in the nozzle hole that the compressed air comes out of.

Then you will need to make a small hole in the lid of the disposable plastic container, smaller enough for the small plastic straw to fit in tightly. It does need to be tight because you want all your hair spray to go into the container and not come out into the air and waste it.

Once you have your straw fitted into the nozzle and the hole in the lid of the container you are ready to just start holding down the nozzle and start spraying your hair spray into the container.

If you are highly sensitive to fumes and smells like I am you should not be able to smell the hair spray at all if you have the hole in the lid small enough for the straw to have fitted tightly

Now you should have approximately 3 ½cm deep of liquid hair spray.

I have used this to make all of my foliage. It really does dry stiff and hard done this way. I have tried spraying it directly on the foliage but it didn’t turn out as stiff as this.

As you can see this is a well used tub of liquid hair spray and yes I need to strain it out before I use it for my next lot of foliage.

And don’t forget to glad wrap your container of liquid hair spray. I have had this wrapped up since about October last year and it is still perfect to use.

How I Built A Mountain with Toilet Paper And PVC Glue

How I Built A Mountain with  Toilet Paper                             And PVC Glue  There are many techniques to use to cover your mountains and hills, like using plaster of paradise or paper Mache using paper and home made glue. I did give much consideration into using one of these two techniques, but the technique I finally decided to use, was toilet paper and PVC glue. And I am really glad I have. Because now it is finished, it is as hard as a rock but light like fibre glass. It was kind of funny at the time choosing this technique been as in this time when I had decided to start doing this, toilet paper was very hard to get and you had to que up to buy just one packet. And no I wasn't one of those people that had an abundance of it left over and needed to figure out how to use it...

Who Remembers The Mr Whippy Van

Who Remembers The Mr. Whippy Van Who remembers the Mr. Whippy van driving around the neighborhood of Melbourne, Victoria? I do, it was one of my precious memories of growing up. He would play his music on his loud speaker so that everyone no matter where you were could hear that Mr. Whippy was coming. We would all run out of the house so watch him coming especially on those really hot afternoons. While you would wait you could see all the other children and parents running out to their nature strips to purchase one of his yummy soft serve ice creams. Sometimes my parents would buy us all one and sometimes they wouldn’t. Now as a grownup I realize that they couldn’t always afford to buy us all one. But that still didn’t stop us from running out to watch Mr. Whippy do his thing. Mr. Whippy looked the splitting image of Elvis P...
