How To Make These Long Stem Flowers

How To Make These Long Stem Flowers

This is some photos of how I used my long stemmed flowers. Sometimes I glued them in the exact size that I made them to be, but a lot of time I cut them up to give me smaller stems and varying sizes, for larger parts of them plants in the middle and back, leading down to smaller parts of the plant at the front. As you can see the varying sizes really help to give you the true effect of the plants and a really good 3D effect.

The things you are going to need to make your own long stem flowers are as follows:

-Bristles from a light scrubbing brush. (This is pictured in the above photo and I found mine in Daiso a Japanese shop in the laundry isle. I found this one to be not to think and the bristles all differ in size and they are a natural product, and what’s even better is that they only cost $2:80 and you get 2 in a packet. You will need to pull them all apart and put them into a storage container ready for you to use.)

-Liquid hair spray glue. (This you will find in my blog: “Making Hair Spray Liquid Glue.”)

-Flocking. (This you will find in my blog on how to make this in: “Making The Flocking For The Train Layout.”)

-Baking paper.

Once you have pulled your scrubbing brush apart and have all the bristles in your container all you need to do is hold the bristle in the middle of the stem dip the both ends into the “Liquid hair spray glue” and then dip them into your selected type of flocking and then place then on your baking paper for 24 hours to dry.

Then when you want to place them on your train layout or diorama or even use them for your dolls house you can place them in place with either some sticky PVA glue or some super glue, and like I said before you can cut them to the required lengths.

I do hope you have as much fun as I did with these little ones they are so quick and easy.

Please if you have any questions or comments please leave them in the comments below.

Here are some pictures of some variations I have made.

Who Remembers The Mr Whippy Van

Who Remembers The Mr. Whippy Van Who remembers the Mr. Whippy van driving around the neighborhood of Melbourne, Victoria? I do, it was one of my precious memories of growing up. He would play his music on his loud speaker so that everyone no matter where you were could hear that Mr. Whippy was coming. We would all run out of the house so watch him coming especially on those really hot afternoons. While you would wait you could see all the other children and parents running out to their nature strips to purchase one of his yummy soft serve ice creams. Sometimes my parents would buy us all one and sometimes they wouldn’t. Now as a grownup I realize that they couldn’t always afford to buy us all one. But that still didn’t stop us from running out to watch Mr. Whippy do his thing. Mr. Whippy looked the splitting image of Elvis Presley. We used to think he had left his job and come to serve us ice cream and sing to us in Tottenham. Because we didn’t r
