Grace And Peace Be Yours In Abundance

Grace And Peace Be Yours In Abundance

2 Peter 1:2 NKJV

Grace and peace be yours in abundance through the knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord.

2 Peter 1:2 The Passion Translation

2 May grace and perfect peace cascade over you as you live in the rich knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord.

As I have said before, sometimes the Holy Spirit leads me to read a different translation and as you can see here, by reading the Scripture in the King James Version and then reading it in The Passion Translation, really brings this living word to life. It’s like the words of a song that I love to sing to by We The Kingdom sing in the chorus:

Is like sweet, sweet honey
On my lips
Like the sound of a symphony
To my ears
Like holy water on my skin

(Sung by We The Kingdom).

And yes in my experience as this Scripture says; grace and peace are ours in abundance. But, as the rest of this Scripture finishes of by saying; through the knowledge of God and of Jesus.

We often wonder why we don’t feel His presence, His Shalom peace, and receive all that He wants to give us in His abundance, like receiving His full healing, and His full love.

This is the key word, “knowing’’ our Father’s love for us, that is overflowing, to His full measure.

And learning all that Jesus has done for us, His finished works.

Knowing that you are His truly loved Sons and Daughters.

Knowing that His love for us doesn’t depend on our love for Him, but His love for us. It also doesn’t depend on us not sinning, for nothing can separate us from the Father’s love.

As any good Father knows, that when their child have done something wrong, we don’t hate them, we don’t reject them or completely remove them from our heart our lives. We love them, yes sometimes we need to discipline them, and as I have learned over the year we discipline them only in love not in anger, and I have only been able to learn this from getting to know my ever loving Father in Heaven. We can learn so much about our Abba Father’s love if we just read His words of love for us from His living Bible.

Ephesians 3:18-20 New Life Version

18 I pray that you will be able to understand how wide and how long and how high and how deep His love is. 19 I pray that you will know the love of Christ. His love goes beyond anything we can understand. I pray that you will be filled with God Himself.

20 God is able to do much more than we ask or think through His power working in us.

I pray this prayer for you through the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, to Him be the glory and honor forever and ever, Hallelujah and Amen.

I would also like for you to join me in praising our Abba Father who hears and answers all our prayers. Last week I prayed this prayer:

I praise and thank You, Abba Father for all of the hard work and protection of the front liners, the “ring of steel” around Melbourne protecting not only Melbournians but also all Victorians in this time. I thank and praise You Abba Father that You have replaced this “ring of steel” with Your crown of Victory around Melbourne. For He has the victory in His nail pierced hands. Hallelujah Jesus, in Jesus name Melbourne wear your crown of victory for we share in His victory. In Jesus name I pray. Hallelujah and Amen.

Well today the ring of steel have been taken away and know we are all allowed to move freely again around Victoria because we in Melbourne have had zero cases for nearly 2 weeks. I thank and praise our Victor who holds us in His hands for getting us all safely through this valley of darkness and for placing His crown of victory around Melbourne.

I pray that as we step out now after nearly 9 months of being in isolation that the Lord guides us all with His love and gives us His courage and confidence to step out in faith. And comfort all those that are suffering from anxieties and depression from being isolated for so long. Grow us and guide us with Your love dear Father.

In Jesus name I pray all of these prayers. Hallelujah and Amen.

Who Remembers The Mr Whippy Van

Who Remembers The Mr. Whippy Van Who remembers the Mr. Whippy van driving around the neighborhood of Melbourne, Victoria? I do, it was one of my precious memories of growing up. He would play his music on his loud speaker so that everyone no matter where you were could hear that Mr. Whippy was coming. We would all run out of the house so watch him coming especially on those really hot afternoons. While you would wait you could see all the other children and parents running out to their nature strips to purchase one of his yummy soft serve ice creams. Sometimes my parents would buy us all one and sometimes they wouldn’t. Now as a grownup I realize that they couldn’t always afford to buy us all one. But that still didn’t stop us from running out to watch Mr. Whippy do his thing. Mr. Whippy looked the splitting image of Elvis Presley. We used to think he had left his job and come to serve us ice cream and sing to us in Tottenham. Because we didn’t r
