How To Make Vines Out Of Rope

How To Make Vines Out Of Rope

Hi this is the last in my series of foliage making for a while at least until I start making the farms and park.

Today I am sharing how I made my vines. These vines are made exactly the way I made my flowers made with string, only difference is that these vines are made with rope and are obviously so much larger. I needed them large to fore fill the look I was after.

So you will need to look through my blog and find the one that is called “How to make flowers with string and flocking”, it was written on January 15th 2021.

The only differences to making these vines is that you will use rope instead of string and when you have finished untwisting the rope to within in 2cm from the bottom you will not be spraying your rope with green paint but with burnt umber paint, (A very dark brown).

Also for different effects you may want to do ivy on your walls so you will want to use green flocking instead of the autumn tones like I used, you making even want to use a mixture of colours with green flocking.

Below when I was untwisting my rope a lot of rope bits fell off, so I untwisted them above my container and put the bits in it to save for my next project. No use wasting it and time.

I do hope you have found this helpful if you have any questions or comments please leave them in place provided below.

I pray that you have a blessed day and enjoy.

I do, it was one of my precious memories of growing up. He would play his music on his loud speaker so that everyone no matter where you were could hear that Mr. Whippy was coming. We would all run out of the house so watch him coming especially on those really hot afternoons. While you would wait you could see all the other children and parents running out to their nature strips to purchase one of his yummy soft serve ice creams. Sometimes my parents would buy us all one and sometimes they wouldn’t. Now as a grownup I realize that they couldn’t always afford to buy us all one. But that still didn’t stop us from running out to watch Mr. Whippy do his thing. Mr. Whippy looked the splitting image of Elvis Presley. We used to think he had left his job and come to serve us ice cream and sing to us in Tottenham. Because we didn’t r
