Because through this week with the COVID-19 Virus restrictions easing just a little more for us Melbournians we have been able to catch up with some friends and family. It is so true, that we really do not appreciate what we have until it is either gone or lost or taken from us, or that we can’t do it anymore. Only then we realize what we have really missed, who we really love, what we really love to do, and what it means to have freedom, and how important our family and friends are to us.
Two Scriptures that have been placed on my heart after reflecting on our catch ups and the mixed emotions that have come with that are:
Matthew 6:21 NIV
21 For
where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.
Sometimes we just don’t realize a path that we have traveled of hardship, tears and pain and not realized that it has been for a reason a purpose. Sometimes we go though hardship and pain for many reasons, not just the one reason.
2 Corinthians 1:4 NIV
3 Praise be to
the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and
the God of all comfort,
4 who comforts
us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with
the comfort we ourselves receive from God.
So this drawing for me today represents all of the love and compassion that I have shared with some of my loved ones through this week. Hence why the care bears sharing their love for each other.
Today I pray that you would know the true love, compassion and comfort of our one and only Abba Father, and that you would know His Shalom peace. I pray this prayer for you in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ. Hallelujah and Amen.
I praise and thank You, Abba Father for all of the hard work and protection of the front liners, the “ring of steel” around Melbourne protecting not only Melbournians but also all Victorians in this time. I thank and praise You Abba Father that You have replaced this “ring of steel” with Your crown of Victory around Melbourne. For He has the victory in His nail pierced hands. Hallelujah Jesus, in Jesus name Melbourne wear your crown of victory for we share in His victory. In Jesus name I pray. Hallelujah and Amen.
Thank you for sharing! These are such helpful words.
