Taste And See That The Lord Is Good and Full Of Compassion and Comfort For Us All

Taste And See That The Lord Is Good and Full Of Compassion and Comfort For Us All

I felt prompted by the Holy Spirit to share this Bible art drawing today. Not because of the Scripture that I had used for this drawing but because this drawing speaks so loudly to me today.

Because through this week with the COVID-19 Virus restrictions easing just a little more for us Melbournians we have been able to catch up with some friends and family. It is so true, that we really do not appreciate what we have until it is either gone or lost or taken from us, or that we can’t do it anymore. Only then we realize what we have really missed, who we really love, what we really love to do, and what it means to have freedom, and how important our family and friends are to us.

Two Scriptures that have been placed on my heart after reflecting on our catch ups and the mixed emotions that have come with that are:

 Matthew 6:21 NIV

21 For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.

This Scripture I find is so accurate for us. For me my Abba Father, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit, the Bible/Abba Father’s beautiful words written for us, my Hubby and all my family and friends are my treasures that I store in my heart.

There has been great joy, laughter and lots of memories shared with some of our catch ups. But for some that we visit they have had such a hard time, and some have had great losses in this time and no one to grieve with. So the tears just flow, all the emotions bottled up for so long just flow out.

Sometimes we just don’t realize a path that we have traveled of hardship, tears and pain and not realized that it has been for a reason a purpose. Sometimes we go though hardship and pain for many reasons, not just the one reason.

I have learned over the years that you truly can’t understand or truly comfort the person, with what that person is going through, unless you have traveled that same path or road, or at least a similar path or road. And only then you can truly comfort that person. You may not always have the right words or answers, but you can at least totally understand and comfort them with a sincere heart of compassion for what they are going through.

And these thoughts of having compassion for others that are going through similar to what I have gone through reminded me of this second Scripture:

 2 Corinthians 1:4 NIV

3 Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort,

4 who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves receive from God.

So this drawing for me today represents all of the love and compassion that I have shared with some of my loved ones through this week. Hence why the care bears sharing their love for each other.

Today I pray that you would know the true love, compassion and comfort of our one and only Abba Father, and that you would know His Shalom peace. I pray this prayer for you in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ. Hallelujah and Amen.

I praise and thank You, Abba Father for all of the hard work and protection of the front liners, the “ring of steel” around Melbourne protecting not only Melbournians but also all Victorians in this time. I thank and praise You Abba Father that You have replaced this “ring of steel” with Your crown of Victory around Melbourne. For He has the victory in His nail pierced hands. Hallelujah Jesus, in Jesus name Melbourne wear your crown of victory for we share in His victory. In Jesus name I pray. Hallelujah and Amen.

How I Built A Mountain with Toilet Paper And PVC Glue

How I Built A Mountain with  Toilet Paper                             And PVC Glue  There are many techniques to use to cover your mountains and hills, like using plaster of paradise or paper Mache using paper and home made glue. I did give much consideration into using one of these two techniques, but the technique I finally decided to use, was toilet paper and PVC glue. And I am really glad I have. Because now it is finished, it is as hard as a rock but light like fibre glass. It was kind of funny at the time choosing this technique been as in this time when I had decided to start doing this, toilet paper was very hard to get and you had to que up to buy just one packet. And no I wasn't one of those people that had an abundance of it left over and needed to figure out how to use it...

Who Remembers The Mr Whippy Van

Who Remembers The Mr. Whippy Van Who remembers the Mr. Whippy van driving around the neighborhood of Melbourne, Victoria? I do, it was one of my precious memories of growing up. He would play his music on his loud speaker so that everyone no matter where you were could hear that Mr. Whippy was coming. We would all run out of the house so watch him coming especially on those really hot afternoons. While you would wait you could see all the other children and parents running out to their nature strips to purchase one of his yummy soft serve ice creams. Sometimes my parents would buy us all one and sometimes they wouldn’t. Now as a grownup I realize that they couldn’t always afford to buy us all one. But that still didn’t stop us from running out to watch Mr. Whippy do his thing. Mr. Whippy looked the splitting image of Elvis P...
