What Would A Pastel Lady Do With A Hole In The Wall?

What Would A Pastel Lady Do With A Hole In The Wall?

Welcome to our very unique but whimsical pastel kitchen.

We had a hole in our kitchen wall where we had our old air conditioner. My Hubby asked me "so what are we going to do with the hole in the wall." He was expecting me to say that I just want it to be plastered up. But I had already had some ideas on what to do with the hole in our wall. He knew it wouldn't be that simple He knows me better that, lol. And so the planning began, the research on Pinterest and the internet and this is the idea I came up with. A shadow box with a set of shelves to hold more pastel pretties for our pastel kitchen. Of course the fronts of the shelves had to have my favorite scallop pattern and bows on the front, just to make it fit in with all the rest of our pastel kitchen. As always I get the ideas and draw them up and my precious, loving, "Tool Man" my Hubby who is so gifted in putting my plans together in wood, gets to work creating again.

This the bows that I have on the front of the shadow box shelves and all the way through my kitchen. You simply just glue them with some PVA glue to your raw would and then paint over them. And then when your finished painting the project they look like they were really meant to be there.

I never realized that these bows are made from a 3D laser printer. I always thought they were done the old fashion way of pouring resin into a mold, how times change. But now the are laser printed. So now we can also make more of these ourselves now we have a laser printer oh the fun.

I thank and praise my Abba Father for how He has created us. I love that He created us to be a creative  and that He blessed me with a Husband who is very talented and creative, even though he doesn't think he is. Abba Father knew what He was doing when He created both of us and brought us together. Two very different worlds collided and have become one very beautiful world. Well at least in our pastel house.

I also thank and praise Abba Father for He placed these desires in my heart. For I know that if He made me to be creative and not have any ideas on what to create, then what was the point of making me creative. And of course like a good good Father He wants us to be all that He created us to be and more. So yes I believe that He places these thought in my mind and on my heart just to bless us abundantly. Because that is His desire for us, to bless us abundantly. For God's word in His Bible tells me that He works all things together for our good. (Philippians 2:13). Like the hole in the wall and turning it into something beautiful, something good. God's word also tells me that He gives me the desires of my heart, for He has placed these desires in my heart. (Psalm 37:4 & Philippians 2:13). He is so good to us.

How I Built A Mountain with Toilet Paper And PVC Glue

How I Built A Mountain with  Toilet Paper                             And PVC Glue  There are many techniques to use to cover your mountains and hills, like using plaster of paradise or paper Mache using paper and home made glue. I did give much consideration into using one of these two techniques, but the technique I finally decided to use, was toilet paper and PVC glue. And I am really glad I have. Because now it is finished, it is as hard as a rock but light like fibre glass. It was kind of funny at the time choosing this technique been as in this time when I had decided to start doing this, toilet paper was very hard to get and you had to que up to buy just one packet. And no I wasn't one of those people that had an abundance of it left over and needed to figure out how to use it...
